How to Apply for a Zimbabwe Visa?

Applicants who need a visa to enter Zimbabwe can obtain a visa online. For an easier application process, applicants can follow these steps:

  1. Enter the official page of Zimbabwe e-Visa.
  2. Open an account and fill out the account with all your personal information.
  3. Fill out the application form with all the needed personal information.
  4. Attach other requested documents to your visa application form.
  5. Finish the applicable visa fee payment.
  6. Wait until you receive a response. You will receive an email with your visa application result.

Zimbabwe Visa Requirements

To apply for a Zimbabwe visa, attach the following documents to your visa application form:

  • A passport valid for at least six months after the return date.
  • A passport-sized photo following the Zimbabwe visa photo requirements; photos must be taken within the last three to six months.
  • A proof of residence in your home country.
  • An accommodation proof document while you stay in Zimbabwe,  such as a letter of invitation, rental agreement, or hotel reservation.
  • A copy of your previous Zimbabwe visa (if applicable).
  • A letter of invitation issued by your family members or friends in Zimbabwe.

The processing time for a Zimbabwe visa application is between 6-7 working days. The processing time can be extended if you have missing or incorrect information in your visa application form.

Duration of a Zimbabwe Visa

The duration of a Zimbabwe visa depends on the applicant’s visa type. For example:

  • A tourist visa is valid 90 days from the issuance date.
  • A visit and business visa are valid 30 days from the issuing date.
  • A visa on arrival is issued at the port of entry. So, applicants who apply for a visa on arrival will be informed of their duration once their visa is issued.

A study visa is issued to international students who wish to study in Zimbabwe. A study visa is valid for as long as your course of study lasts. To apply for a student visa, applicants must submit these documents:

  • A valid travel document.
  • One passport photograph.
  • A letter of acceptance from a university in Zimbabwe.
  • A copy of your previous Zimbabwe visa (if applicable).

Business Visa

A business visa is issued to applicants who need to enter the country for business purposes, including business meetings, business travel trips, projects, etc. A business visa is valid for 30 days, and it is non-renewable. To apply for a business visa, submit the following documents:

  • A valid passport.
  • A passport-sized photo.
  • A invitation letter from the business in Zimbabwe.
  • A business letter including the purpose of your visit to Zimbabwe.
  • A business profile of the applicant.
  • A copy of your previous Zimbabwe visa (if applicable).

Transit Visa

A transit visa is issued to applicants who must transit through Zimbabwe to their final destination. This type of visa is non-renewable. To apply for a transit visa, applicants must submit the following documents:

  • A valid passport.
  • A passport-sized photograph.
  • A proof of residence or citizenship in your home country.
  • A ongoing flight ticket.
